What's Open, Closed This Civic Holiday

On the Civic Holiday, Monday, August 4, the following City facilities are open:

• Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• The Muse is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

All other City buildings and facilities are closed, including the Transfer Station and Recycle Depot, Kenora Public Library, City Hall, Operations Building, Moncrief Construction Sports Centre, and Bowman Electric Keewatin Memorial Arena. 

The Wave does not operate on the holiday.

What's Open, Closed This Victoria Day Holiday

On Monday, May 19, the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All other City buildings and facilities are closed, including the Transfer Station, Kenora Public Library, The Muse, Operations Centre, City Hall, Bowman Electric Keewatin Memorial Arena, and Moncrief Construction Sports Centre.

The Wave, microtransit service, does not operate on the holiday.

Coney Island recycle and waste collection starts Tuesday, May 20.

Emergency services on duty as usual.

Members Required for CSWB Plan Implementation Committee

City of Kenora Council is seeking citizens interested in serving as a Member of the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan Implementation Committee. 

The term of appointment is up to November 30, 2026 (at the pleasure of Council). 

The Community Safety and Well-Being Plan Implementation Committee is responsible for overseeing the execution of the recently approved Community Safety and Well-Being Plan, securing new funding, and exploring opportunities for system-wide improvements.
