City of Kenora Council is seeking citizens interested in serving as a Member of the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan Implementation Committee.
The term of appointment is up to November 30, 2026 (at the pleasure of Council).
The Community Safety and Well-Being Plan Implementation Committee is responsible for overseeing the execution of the recently approved Community Safety and Well-Being Plan, securing new funding, and exploring opportunities for system-wide improvements.

What's Open, Closed This Civic Holiday

On the Civic Holiday, Monday, August 5, the following City facilities are open:
- Thistle Pavilion, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Muse Kenora is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All other City buildings and facilities are closed, including the Transfer Station and Recycle Depot, Kenora and Keewatin Public Libraries, City Hall, Moncrief Construction Sports Centre, and Bowman Electric Keewatin Memorial Arena.
There is no bus service on the holiday.
