What's Open and Closed on Canada Day
On Canada Day, join us for a Canada Day Celebration. Gather your family and friends for free festivities on the Kenora harbourfront. Here's what open and closed on Wednesday, July 1:
What’s open on July 1
- The Muse, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., free admission
- Jarnel Contracting Pavilion for Canada Day celebrations
- Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
What's closed on July 1
- Transfer Station and Recycle Depot
- Moncrief Construction Sports Centre
- Bowman Electric Keewatin Memorial Arena
- City Hall, including Provincial Offences Services
- Operations Building, including Planning, Building, and Cemetery Office
- Kenora Public Libraries
- There is no recycle and garbage curbside collection on July 1 for the Wednesday route, including lakeside and JM south of the by-pass.
- The Wave Mircrotransit does not operate on the holiday.
Essential services are on duty.
For water and sewer after-hours emergencies, please call 807-466-1290. For all other after-hours emergency concerns, please call 807-467-2080.
