What's Open, Closed This Labour Day

All City buildings and facilities are closed on Monday, September 1, to observe the Labour Day statutory holiday; however, the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Wave mirco-transit service does not operate on the holiday.
The last Coney Island recycle and garbage pick-up for the season is Tuesday, September 2.

Ninth Street North Project Updates

The City is pleased to share updates about the two improvement projects and upcoming road openings on Ninth Street North.
On the evening of Tuesday, September 2, Ninth Street North will open to all traffic and pedestrians. Project paving is currently underway and we are so excited to see this project completed on schedule.
Additionally, the sewer and water piping replacement project at the West end of Ninth Street North is making great progress. We’re on track to be completed mid-October.

Moncrief Construction Sports Centre Lobby Renovation Facility Entrances

Exciting progress on the Moncrief Construction Sports Centre lobby renovation is underway. The project is at a key stage that will affect facility entry starting at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, and continue until project completion.
The reception will be transitioned to the west end of the building. The facility will remain open, and entrances will be impacted as follows:
- The west entrance will be used to access the pool, fitness center, and physiotherapy.

Rabbit Lake Water Levels

Please be advised that water levels on Rabbit Lake are lower than normal.
This is due to repair work that is required to the water level control mechanism.
This situation is being monitored, and the City is in the process of developing a plan for repairs.
