Transfer Station is Open
The Transfer Station has reopened following the flood clean-up. All services have resumed and the facility is operating its regular hours.
Tourism Kenora is hosting Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™, a once-in-a-lifetime community event at the Kenora Harbourfront and south harbourfront parking lot. The south harbourfront parking lot will be closed, and traffic and parking impacts are expected during event setup and on event day.
Please be advised that there may be traffic delays in the downtown core on Saturday, June 27, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Please be advised that the Matheson Street bridge will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Please be advised that a section of First Street North at Matheson Street North will be reduced to a single lane on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to remove a hazardous tree.

Please be advised that Norman Park beach will be temporarily closed from Monday, June 22 to Wednesday, June 24 to allow for the installation of Hoopla Island.
Notice is hereby given that Council of the Corporation of the City of Kenora proposes, at its meeting to be held July 21 at 5:00 p.m., to consider a By-law to Stop Up, Close, Surplus and Sell a portion of an undeveloped road allowance identified as a portion of Spence Street, Plan M35 and Sell certain lands within the municipality.
The 2026 Final Tax Bills for all property tax classes have been mailed as of Tuesday, June 16, 2026. The bills are due and payable on or before Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
