The City of Kenora has invested $1.6M in the construction and acquisition of a new road that will connect Ninth Street North to Main Street North on the former Abitibi Mill site.

The City of Kenora is pursuing a sustainable trash bag solution for use in the Adopt a Block program by trialling a new compostable bag that will reduce the impact of plastic bags in our landfill.

Keewatin Channel Bridge Assessment

Please be advised that Stantec will be conducting an assessment of the Keewatin Channel Bridge this week. The assessment is being done ahead of the steel coating project taking place later this year. The assessment work will occur beneath and on the sides of the bridge, where the Engineers will use rope access to check the bridge components.
There will be no impact on traffic or sidewalks during this time.
