Naming Rights Secured for Whitecap Pavilion

The City of Kenora is pleased to announce that a long-term Naming Rights agreement has been secured for the Whitecap Pavilion with a locally owned company.
In 2022, the City of Kenora launched a new program to sell the Naming Rights of key municipal-owned recreation and tourism facilities to companies or organizations for a defined period as a form of advertising and to support the City. Enbridge Gas Inc. (Enbridge Gas) is helping City of Kenora Fire and Emergency Services purchase firefighting training materials, through Safe Community Project Assist–a program with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council (FMPFSC) that supplements existing training for Ontario volunteer and composite fire departments in the communities where Enbridge Gas operates.

Council announced the approval of round two of an innovative food composting solution to its residents to test in their homes.
In partnership with Food Cycle Science Corporation, residents of Kenora will have the opportunity to pilot an on-site food waste diversion solution that will reduce the amount of organics headed to the landfill.
