Central Community Club Progress Update Kenora

City administration and the Central Community Club Board have been working diligently with the general contractor and architect to finalize the details for the construction of the new Central Community Club facilities.
The construction work the public may have observed in the park area during the late summer months were related to the underground work required to the civil infrastructure upgrades. These works were completed in late September and were an integral part of the project.

The consultation phase of the new Parks and Recreation Master Plan is now underway.
The City is developing a Parks and Recreation Master Plan to establish recreational priorities for the community. The Master Plan will be a guiding document for the City to manage the direction of parks and recreation through 2032 and ensure the community has recreational opportunities through sound planning and balanced decision-making for the future.

Norman Park Accessibility Project

Please be advised that Sierra Construction will begin constructing an accessible paved walkway at Norman Park starting on Tuesday, September 7.
During the construction period, it may be required to close Norman Beach temporarily to visitors.
The Rotary Splash Park will continue to operate as usual; however, note that the seasonal closing date is mid-September.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of September.
