Today, Wauzhushk Onigum Nation Leadership announced they have detected over 170 plausible burials on their traditional territory, after searching the former St. Mary’s Indian Residential School site. The City of Kenora extends our heartfelt condolences to the Wauzhushk Onigum Nation community, and all Indigenous communities in our area. Council approves the 2023 meeting calendarCouncil approved the meeting calendar for 2023. Committee of the Whole meetings will take place on the second Wednesday of the month at 9:00 a.m. and Council meetings will take place on the third Wednesday of the month at 5:00 p.m.

Water Delivery Schedule Change

Please be advised that water delivery will be available five days a week, Monday to Friday, effective immediately. The delivery area remains south of Kenora By-pass Highway 17A, between the Highway 17 East and West boundaries.
Customers must place the water delivery order by calling the day before the water is required, same day requests are subject to the higher fill fee.

Council has commenced their new term with a firm commitment to the community to address safety concerns for citizens in the downtown core.
