Back Lane Closure

Please be advised that the back lane between Fifth Avenue South and Seventh Avenue South will be closed for road reconstruction from Monday, October 7, to Friday, October 25.
Local traffic will be permitted, and residents in the project area should be able to access their properties during the project.

Please be advised that there will be cleaning and relevelling of war veteran gravestones on October 2 to October 3, 2024 at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery.
This is essential upkeep in honouring the memory of our veterans. Proper upkeep ensures that the memorials remain a source of comfort and reflection for those who visit.
The cemetery remains open to the public. Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to use caution while travelling around the workers.

The City announced on June 28, 2024, that the Keewatin Library and Keewatin Senior Centre, located on Ottawa Street, will be closed until further notice due to structural issues with the roof. The safety of residents is our top priority, and we are committed to addressing this situation with care while continuing to provide library and senior programs to the community.

Be prepared to be Saved by the Beep with a working smoke alarm – it is your best chance to keep you and your family safe in the event of a fire.
