Coker Road Repairs Update

Please be advised that repair work on Coker Road, east of Kelly Road, will begin the coming days with the intention to have the required work completed and the road reopened prior to school returning on August 30th.
The contractor has committed to work on Coker Road with grading, but without additional material added, culvert repair, and adjacent ditching. There will be ongoing monitoring by both Stantec and City of Kenora Engineering.

Annual Ice Allocation for the 2023-2024 Season

The City of Kenora has completed their annual ice allocation for the 2023-2024 season.
Through this process, all ice users submit their requests for the number of hours, preferred time/day slots and intended total number of ice hours. Administration then vets those requests in accordance with the City’s Ice Allocation Policy. It is important to note that within that policy, priority is identified in the following order:
1. City of Kenora public recreation and special events.

Construction Notice

Please be advised that Titan Contractors (Kenora) Ltd. will be completing road improvements on 9th St North, from Scramble Avenue to Houghton Road commencing Tuesday, July 25th and continuing until the end of August 2023. The roadway is expected to remain open to traffic during the construction process, however residents should expect some delays when travelling through the area due to traffic control.

City Advises Public on Delays with Line Painting

Drivers will notice the line painting of the City’s highways, streets, intersections, and parking areas are being completed in stages this summer. As of the end of July, only the highway painting has been completed, with detail work such as slip lanes, and intersection arrows not yet marked.
