Transfer Station Fee Changes Effective January 1, 2025

Please be advised that effective January 1, 2025, Transfer Station fees will increase by 3.5% overall. This increase has been approved by Council in the 2024 Solid Waste Utility Budget.
The new fee structure will impact scale loads, fees for when the scale is out of service, and other commercial service fees. For instance, customers will be charged $23.15 for a load weighing up to 250 kg, $138.85 per tonne for loads weighing over 250 kg, and $98.35 per tonne for materials redirected to the Kenora...

On November 19, Council approved the 2025 Capital, Solid Waste, and Water and Wastewater Utility Budgets including their respective 10-year Capital plans.
Council met on October 1, October 22, October 29, and November 5 to review and amend the draft 2025 Capital, Solid Waste, and Water and Wastewater budgets. Council and Administration held detailed discussions on the draft budgets identifying the needs and priorities of the City.
