We would like to inform you of some changes to the programs currently at the pool at the Moncrief Construction Sport Centre.
Participants will now be required to pre-register for the Deep Water Running Class and WaterFit no later than 7:00 p.m. the night before the class. You can do this by contacting our front desk at 807-467-2088. Please note the Deep Water Running class will be set to a capacity of 30 participants until June 21, 2024. Please be advised that the Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for Coney Island water service customers has been rescinded as of June 7, 2024.
Laboratory testing of the after supply does not indicate the presence of bacteria.

Coker Road Closure Due to Increasing Water Levels

Please be advised that Coker Road from Kelly Road to the east side of Rice Bay will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, June 6, due to the increasing water Level on Black Sturgeon Lake, specifically Rice Bay. The closure affects all vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
The closure ensures the integrity of the road is maintained by preventing significant damage that could occur if travel on the Coker Road were to continue during this high water period.

The City of Kenora is pleased to announce the appointment of Ed Mandamin as our Indigenous Relations Advisor. Mandamin will be pivotal in fostering collaborative relationships between the City and Indigenous communities in this newly established role.

Committee of the Whole June Meeting Date Change

Please be advised that City of Kenora Council will hold its June Committee of the Whole meeting on Thursday, June 13, at 1:00 p.m. rather than on the second Tuesday of the month.
The meeting date change is to accommodate professional staff training.
The regular Council meeting will remain on the third Tuesday of the month, June 18, at 5:00 p.m. as scheduled.
