Unidirectional Flushing Program

Please be advised that Velocity Water Services Inc. will be performing a Unidirectional Flushing Program on the City of Kenora watermain system over the next six to eight weeks, beginning on Monday, May 26.
Flushing will take place in the area outlined in green on the map below.
During the flushing process, there should be no interruptions to water service. Common and temporary effects of the flushing process include a slight drop in water pressure and discoloured water.

Please be advised that on Friday, May 16 at 12:01 a.m. local time, City of Kenora Fire Chief Gord Howard will be implementing a Fire Ban, aligning with the Restricted Fire Zone (RFZ) declared by the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR).
This action is in response to high to extreme forest fire hazard conditions and to reduce the potential number of human-caused fires.

Council Approves Key Improvements for Keewatin Public Library and Portage Bay Bridge

The City is pleased to announce that Council has approved budget spending for key infrastructure projects during this evening's Regular Meeting, including the roof replacement for the Keewatin Public Library and repairs to the Portage Bay Bridge.
