The Kenora District Services Board (KDSB) and the City of Kenora are pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached for the City lands known as the “Howard Property” to be utilized to develop new housing. The KDSB has proposed to use the lands to build a 54-unit seniors housing complex. The housing project directly responds to the community’s housing crisis and the lack of affordable housing options for seniors.

In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community, there is a screening process in place for everyone who enters our buildings and facilities. We have recently added a question to this screening asking if you have been in Manitoba within the last 14 days.
If you have travelled into Manitoba, do not enter City buildings or facilities.
The Northwestern Health Unit recommends self-isolating for 14 days upon your return. This does not include travel to West Hawk Lake or Falcon Lake.

Please be advised there is a water service interruption to homes on Regina Avenue, Mascott Avenue, and Dowsett Street.
This interruption is necessary to repair a watermain break on Regina Avenue.
We are working as quickly as possible to complete the repair to minimize the length of time the water is turned off.
